Driving Mr. Spirithunter

My son had a first today. He made his very first, maiden voyage, pizza run in the old Spiritvan. That’s right, he received his learner’s permit today and drove from our house to the village of Shipman and back, about eight miles, and he did a fantabulous job!

The Wall

Ian and I are both pretty psyched. This weekend the upstairs living room is being converted into a bedroom for Ian, in the process I will reclaim my den, where Ian has been living, and turn it into a library/studio. doing this will also add another twenty-four square feet to my kitchen. YEA! I find it amazing that adding an eight foot tall, eleven foot long wall can make everyone so happy. If you are really bored this weekend, be sure to tune in, I’m doing this live on streaming video! That’s right boys and girls, guys and gals, you too can watch the old Spirithunter build a wall!

January in General

The month of January is just a few hours from being over, kaput, fine’!  I quit smoking 31 days ago and this has been one of the weirdest, most stress filled months I have had in a long long time…If ever… In the last month I have struggled with almost all of the typical symptoms of smoking cessation; irritability, grouchiness, intense dreams, restlessness, hostility, bouts of depression, I even chewed off a damn fingernail. Physically I am starting to feel really good, psychologically I am a still a bit of a wreck. I never realized how much I relied on cigarettes as stress breakers. February will be better. Thanks to Ian, Dad, Terri, Tammy, and everyone else for putting up with me.

I have a lot planned in February including a surprise that I have been planning. I have started researching my subject matter, finding the proper supplies, and…well, that’s all I can really say, it’s a surprise!  Also in February be sure to check out the live streaming webcam as we remodel the living room and turn it into Ian’s domain and I finally reclaim my den as a studio!
